We are excited to welcome your little ones to the nursery at Adventist International School Chilaw Branch! Our nursery program provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to begin their educational journey.

To be eligible for admission, children must have reached the minimum age of 2 ½ years as of August 31st in the year of admission. We kindly request parents to submit the child’s Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar General’s Department of Sri Lanka as the only accepted document for age verification.

To inquire about nursery vacancies and the admissions process, we encourage parents to reach out to our school registrar or Vice Principal ahead of the application closing date. You can contact us via telephone or email to obtain the necessary information.

We invite parents and their children to visit our school and meet with the Head Master by scheduling a prior appointment. Appointments can be arranged between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during weekdays. During this visit, we will be delighted to assist you with any additional details you may require, including administrative procedures, school fee structures, payment details, and more.

Please note that our offices are open on all weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for admission purposes, except on public holidays. Additionally, there may be certain days when the offices are closed during school holidays. For updates on office closures, we recommend contacting us directly or visiting our website for special announcements.

We have outlined a simple and straightforward admission procedure for your convenience. Please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth enrollment process for your child at Adventist International School Chilaw Branch:

1. Submitting the Application: Please complete the application form and submit it either in person or by registered post. Along with the application, kindly include the following documents:

• Photocopy of the Birth Certificate.
• Completed Medical Report.
• For students applying for grade two and above, please provide the School Leaving Certificate, a copy of the official school report or transfer certificate, and the character certificate from the previous school.

2. Interview and Entrance Test: Once we receive your application, our Registrar’s office will notify you of the interview date and your child’s designated time for the Entrance Test.

3. Enrollment and Class Placement: New students will be enrolled in a class based on their performance in the Entrance Test and their age.

4. Admission Fee Payment: If your child successfully completes the interview process, we kindly request that parents come prepared to pay the admission fee along with the term fee.

5. Submission of Original Birth Certificate: Upon registration, it is important to submit the original Birth Certificate for documentation purposes.

6. Book List and School Requirements: Once your child is admitted to the school, we will provide you with the necessary book list and a list of school requirements.

7. Textbook Purchases: Some textbooks can be purchased directly from the school’s bookshop during the registration period.

Please Note:

• Once your child is enrolled in the school and the admission fee is paid, it is non-refundable.
• Admission is subject to the successful performance in the placement test and the availability of classroom space.

School Fees:

To ensure a smooth start to the term, school fees must be paid before the term commences or on the specific dates provided by the administration. Adhering to the payment schedule will enable students to fully participate in their classes and school activities.

Class Admittance Card:

Students must present their Class Admittance Card to the teacher on the first day of each term to be admitted to their classes. Failure to produce the Class Admittance Card may result in temporary denial of entry until the necessary documentation is provided.
